The Traverse City Track Club is a non-profit organization, founded in 1962 by Traverse City-area running enthusiasts who wanted to make the enjoyment of running and walking available to everyone. The TCTC serves a five-county area: Antrim, Benzie, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska, and Leelanau Counties, putting on programs, activities, and events for members and non-members. The TCTC has given over $2.5 million back into the community. The Bayshore Marathon, which has occurred on Memorial Day weekend since 1983, is the most popular event, known nationwide as a top destination running event.
Grand Prix Series
The Traverse City Track Club Grand Prix Series is for everyone, regardless of speed. With over 30 races in the series, the Grand Prix is a great way to tour our five-county region, meet new running friends, and help represent the TCTC.

TRAIL RUN Series
Traverse City Track Club presents the "Third Thursday" Trail Run Series. Runs are held on the third Thursday of the month at 6:00 p.m. (unless noted) on area trail systems with 5k - 10k options available for all paces and abilities.
Summer Series
Join us on Wednesday evenings starting in mid-June for our original running and walking program, the weekly runner hang-out in Traverse City during the summer. This informal race and training program consists of distances between 3 miles and 7 miles. They include handicap, prediction and team-handicap races so runners of all ages and abilities can come out on top.
Weekly fun runs
Come join us every week, all year round to socialize and meet fellow runners! There is no charge and you do not need to be a member to run. All paces are welcome, and we map out 3 and 5 mile routes for runners... We might even have a root beer or two afterward!
